1. I hate bedspreads/bedsheets on the bed. I hate to see the corners flutter if left out or scrunch out when tucked underneath the mattress. I love fitted sheets, you’ll find only these in my house.
2. I have worked with the inmates of a maximum security correctional facility in the US.
3. I don’t like to wear toerings, I find them irritating.
4. I have not acquired any jewellery for the last 4 years-neither bought nor through gifts. I was gifted a swarovski set by Prashant 4 years ago and that was that. I would like to sell some of my gold jewellery though, but don’t know of any places where I could get cash in return.
5. Before I discovered Straps-the lingerie store, my closet was filled with illfitting bras. Needless to say, I love their try-before-you-buy feature.
6. I love stuffed karelas (bittergourd). That’s the only vegetable Prashant won’t eat.
7. I am scared of confined water-pool, bathtub, ponds.
8. Remember the song ‘Maahi Ve’ from the movie ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’? There’s a scene in that song where Jaya Bachchan wipes a tear off Preity Zinta’s face and points to her little girl being ferried in a doli (palanquin) and sings-Khushiyaan jitni hain sab dhoondh dhoodh ke laaon, teri doli ke sang kar doon saari re (I want to search for all the happiness and send them away with you-loose translation). Well, this scene and the words tear me up every time, without fail.
